[...] Goals The goal of Social Media Marketing is to get people onto your landing page, blog or web site. Once there you want them to subscribe to your Provider Generated Conversation. Of course, the only way to do that is to first listen to the Consumer Generated Conversation and then provide useful, relevant information created for their benefit. If you do this well you will begin to collect data and build a community of your own. This is the ultimate goal: create a community of raving fans by continuously feeding them good ideas and relevant information. Once you’ve done that, you can run for mayor.
This is a very good basic list, but, "Greg pointed out that most civilizations will do just what is needed to survive and no more." That is contrary to the development of the entire human race, no matter which civilization you specify.

It a good post except for promoting ones self on Zillow or Trulia. I, Real Estate Rochester MN, stay far far away from sites like those ... why you ask. I look at Zillow and Trulia as my competition ... they take away visitors from my site. I want to be the local authority on Real Estate ... not Zillow or Trulia.

Sean

Came across this after reading Brian Brady's blog on ActiveRain. Went to BloodHound and found this.

You are not alone in being scared..........I've been doing this 38 years.......also an ex-banker.

Wish I could put my finger on it.....will eventually......and maybe get it back to you. Saw it on a blog or somehwere just recently.

The essence was gaining control comparing past history, countries, and civilizations...........Scary.

Talks about having a extreme financial crisis, then using the outcome to redesign and control the public.........I know this kind of sounds way out there, but it certainly made sense.

Best of luck
